Alice Barker was a chorus dancer during the Harlem Renaissance in the 1930’s. Dancing was her absolute passion. As she said herself: “I used to often say to myself to that I’m being paid to do something that I enjoy doing and I would do it for free because it just felt so good doing it.”

This video always reminds me of why I pursue my passions: Life without regrets.

Human beings. Flying through the air. In suits. Off of giant mountain tops and tree-laden hills in the country side of rural China, thousands of feet up.

This video always reminds me to continue pushing the barriers. To doing things, regardless of the perceived limitations. To always take risks. To be bold. To live big.

“The best chance you have, if you want to rise to the top, is to give yourself up to loneliness. Fear nothing, and work hard. One thing that you’ll discover is that Life is based less than what you think on what you’ve learned, and much more than you think on what you have inside you from the very beginning.”

Every time you try to do something, or improve, or change, there will inevitably be those who will try to bring you down to their level and demean whatever it is you’re trying to do. Haters are always gonna hate. Don’t let it stop you.

Jon is a farmer from northeastern Thailand. He founded the Pun Pun Center for Self-reliance, an organic farm outside Chiang Mai, with his wife Peggy Reents in 2003. Pun Pun doubles as a center for sustainable living and seed production, aiming to bring indigenous and rare seeds back into use. It regularly hosts training on simple techniques to live more sustainably.

In this video, he talks about how to make life so simple, and so fun. Life doesn’t have to be complicated.
