How To Have An Amazingly Fulfilling Day

balloons

For most of 2008, I was severely depressed. Waking up each day amounted to nothing more than opening my eyes and thinking about how much my life sucked. I had no money, no food, and no foreseeable future.

Each day was a total waste and felt totally unfulfilling.

From 2009-2010, I was severely motivated. I was starting up some new ventures, and things in my life were progressing in a really positive direction. Then, both the ventures I was working on completely tanked. I lost everything.

Each day was a total waste and felt totally unfulfilling.

From 2011-Now, I’ve been realigning my life and working passionately at my career work, running a Life Coaching business, doing public speaking, writing my book, and writing blog articles for my site. I’ve learned to become much more focused, concentrated, organized, and prepared each day.

Each day is a total success and feels absolutely fulfilling.

Here’s how you can make sure that, each day, you’re feeling productive and fulfilled:

-CREATE A THEME FOR THE DAY

What’s your Theme for the day? Here’s what mine might look like:

“For tomorrow, my Theme is to put my heart, soul, and passion into working on my book so that I can get a few steps closer to spreading my message to the world.”

Creating a Theme gives you a focused, overall sense of what that day is going to be about. That way, you can set specific goals based on that Theme, which brings us to our next bullet point….

-SET SPECIFIC GOALS THAT ARE COMPLETELY FOCUSED ON YOUR THEME FOR THE DAY

Once you have your Theme, and you know exactly what your day is going to be about, you can then set specific goals that are related to that Theme. Based on the example I gave previously, here’s what mine might look like:

*Research various materials for my next chapter – Mindset & Thoughts

*Organize my research into main topics, sub-topics, and bullet points

*Spend at least 3 total hours writing

-CONSUME SOMETHING REALLY NOURISHING AND HEALTHY

You need your mind and body to function, and your mind and body need good, quality fuel to function. Eat/drink at least one highly nutritious thing a day. I recommend Juicing or Smoothing various fruits/vegetables. Easy to make, quick to consume, and nothing is better for the body and mind then raw fruits and vegetables. You’ll notice an incredible natural boost and invigoration.

-EXERCISE OR DO SOME KIND OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Exercise and physical activity boost natural energy levels and revitalize the brain, as well as relieve stress, anxiety, and frustration. On top of that, it’s a great confidence booster and a way to reinforce a positive, productive mindset.

-BE PRESENT AND NOTICE THE LITTLE THINGS

When spending a whole day working, I like to take breaks where I simply sit, meditate with my eyes open, and look around. I like looking out the window to watch the wind blow through the grass. I listen for sounds. I also might go outside for a walk. Look up at the Sun. Stare at the roofs of people’s houses. Find the cracks in the road. Anything to get my mind off the mundane and into the smaller things of life that we normally take for granted.

-DO SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE ELSE THAT DOESN’T IMMEDIATELY BENEFIT YOU

There’s no greater feeling for a human being than doing something for another person that doesn’t immediately benefit yourself. I say immediately because I’m an absolute believe in Karma. Good deeds, actions, and behaviors towards others will work its way back to you in some form. There’s nothing more Fulfilling.

-READ FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR AT THE END OF THE DAY

Read something related to your work, or a fantasy book, or a biography perhaps. Something and anything that can provide you with some kind of knowledge, motivation, or inspiration that can carry over into the next day. You want to keep the momentum going! My books might look something like this:

The Law of Success – Napoleon Hill

Awaken the Giant Within – Anthony Robbins

The Buddha’s Way of Happiness – Thomas Bien

The Hobbit – J.R.R. Tolkien

-TAKE TIME TO FEEL APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE FOR EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFE

Even though a day may end up being tough, I’m unbelievable thankful for just being fucking alive. The fact is, some people are dead. Some of them deserve to still be here, but they can’t. We are. We’re here, and our life can only go up from here. And it will. We have to be grateful for that.

It’s best to do all of these things together, but if for some reason you can’t, then make sure to do at least 1-2 of them. Also, don’t feel like it all needs to be huge or grand in any way. If you can do all of these things, even in just the smallest, tiniest way, that’s absolutely a better solution then doing none of them.

This isn’t about getting things done. It’s not about results. That doesn’t matter. It’s about being productive in a way that fulfills you and makes you feel genuinely satisfied at the end of the day, because if you can reach that, you’ll perform better each day, and the results will take care of themselves.

Don’t waste the day. Once it’s gone, you’ll never be able to have that day again.

Life is so incredibly short. Make as many days count as you possibly can. Squeeze out as much of your potential, purpose, and passion into each day.

Be Fulfilled.
